They couldn’t just disregard the tribunal’s findings. It’d be preposterous. It would diminish all credibility of any future independent commission, and by default, the PL itself. Not sure if they could even feasibly appeal it tbh.

My point is, if they say, and they seem to be saying by today's statement, we have abided by the tribunals findings and we are now acting within the law, who does what ?
Can the tribunal say or do anything or is it up to City ?

The tribunal are still to judge on what the implications are of their previous judgment (as in, what to do with shareholder loans for example and does that make any decision made null and void). Now, they’ll probably also have to judge on whether the new implementation is lawful, in terms of whether the rates they’ve applied to shareholder loans are fair market value.
