Hot on the heels of Gary Neville's blatant attempt to encourage referees to book Fernandinho, Martin Keown in the Mail is at it too. (Yes, that fucking treader who routinely went through opponents trying to get past him).

Interestingly what both Neville and Keown both overlook is that so far this season Fernandinho has committed 16 fouls while there are 7 other players on that total including Lucas Moura. Surprise surprise! Guess who's joint 3rd on 19? Yes, the rags' very own 'world class' Pogba. Lacazette is also above Fernandinho in joint 5th place with 18.

Agenda? What agenda?

This is all Gary Neville goes on about. He's a clueless **** and shouldn't be allowed to talk about football again after almost relegating Valencia. It says it all about Sky that he's consistently allowed to peddle such biased and unfounded nonsense.

Since Pep has been here (apart from the limited sample of this season), Fernandinho hasn't even been in the top 20 players to commit most fouls.

It's been noticeable for a long time that we commit clever tactical fouls when we lose the ball when attacking. All teams do it but it's a more significant weapon in our armoury because we commit so many men forward. I am sure I remember Pep more or less admitting this in an interview, where he said that he noticed in his first season how lenient the refs were here towards these kind of fouls.

Now it's entered the football "groupthink" lexicon (current other City entries: "Sterling can't finish", "Stones makes errors", "Fans not interested in Europe" etc) expect to hear it from every football know-nowt in every Sky sports pub you go in. That doesn't matter of course, but the concern is that the FA will take it on board and change the rules next season, resulting in red cards. If that happens, we will have to adapt of course, and Pep adapts better than anyone.

Neville was actually praising us. Not everyone is out to belittle us

as was Keown, or did you mean Keown?

never let the truth get in the way of an agenda argument though :D

As poster above says, every team does it, with us though its almost always Fern or occasionally Kompany who make the tactical foul

Think Arteta in the documentary talked about committing a tactical foul if we lost the ball.

I just think some have become so sensitive that they consider everything as being a dig at us
