How long now have their been question marks over the Gunners mental strength? 13 years? Well maybe that is about to change.

In the chaos of the final few moments of yesterday’s game at the Emirates, they came good. Led by the imperious, sometimes naughty and ultimately daring Alexis Sanchez, they instantly responded to disappointment and mercilessly nicked the 3 points.

Etc.

Seriously.

Three weeks ago, Arsenal were getting slated for celebrating a draw with bournemouth and not going for the winner.

About two weeks before that we came from behind to beat Arsenal a week after Everton had also done the same.

Their hardly the picture of mental resilience.

Utter shite.

Gutter press. What do you expect?

Newspapers only purpose in life now is to generate revenue from advertising via click-bait stories and wide of the mark journalism. Hard copy newspapers stopped delivering news pretty much since the birth of Breakfast TV News, and have become even more insignificant since the rise of the internet.

We got crucified in pretty much all of the media, for beating Burnley with ten men, at 0-0.

Arsenal get gushing praise for being incorrectly awarded a pen after handing Burnley an equaliser.

I would like that spirit where they're in promising situations in January/February, silverware looks likely, only to be out of contention for everything come the spring. To see the captain on his haunches on the pitch, like Gallas after that Birmingham game, to hand the initiative back to their rivals.

And people get paid to write this nonsense. Why oh why did I not take sports "journalism" seriously.
