Which games?

My first match was when we played Liverpool and beat them 1-0 IIRC..

With it being so recent surely you would remember!....I was going to ask you who scored the winner but it's easy to Google.

Everyone remembers their first game. Mine was 34 years ago and I was 6 but I remember it clear as a bell.

What's amusing about this lad is that he hasn't been to single game this season yet was knowedgeable enough to bet me that City wouldn't sell out against united. He didn't "pay up" of course.

He's only been to 11 games ever yet he knows enough to state that we are not one of the ten biggest clubs in the country, that Goater was our best ever player and that our hooligan firm have "no reputation".

WUM or just a knob? You decide. I have.

I used "IIRC" lightly. Of course I remember my first match.

And I've never made any bets against you? Stop trying to turn a good topic into an argument.

Where did you sit? What was the weather like?

I could do an entire squad of players I though were great (or at least good for us) when other were giving them abuse - maybe I'm just too willing to believe. Some of them may be just underrated, but I distinctly remember the majority getting a fair bit of stick.

GK - Eike Immel
Def - Richard Edghill, Murtaz Shelia, Lucien Mettomo or Kakhaber Tskhadadze,, Terry Phelan
Mid - Alfons Groenendijk (sp),Gary Mason, Christian Negouai, Mark Ward
Atk - Rolando Bianchi, Ishmael Miller

Subs: Paul Cooper, Michael Frondzeck, Andy Hill, Kare Ingebrigsten, Chris Shuker, George Weah, Carl Griffiths.

I think all of these either did a good job for us and got very little credit, or could have been excellent players for us with the right motivation and timing. Yes, even George Weah.

Williamson, think thats his name. Youth team left back who played last game of the season at COM's either last year or one before, I thought he did really and never got another chance.

cannot believe nobody has said nick jensen, he used to get dogs abuse around me and he wasnt blessed with any pace, but he gave the team balance, could pass the ball and was far better than given credit for.

Lucien Mettomo - Keegan never forgave him or gave him a fair chance after returning late from ACN, which was through no fault of his own. He was a brilliant player AND our best central defender at the time.

Hatem Trabelsi - He was injured and came at the end of his career and was played out of position during Keegans final days. If we'd have got him 2 years earlier he would have been a legend.

Tin Hat Time!!!
Christian Negouai - I remember a pre-season match in Denmark when he was head & shoulders above all others on the pitch. Again he was consistently played out of position by Keegan, but for the few moments that I saw him deployed as a destructive central midfielder, he was better than anyone else we had at the time. His temperament had to be questioned though because he he had a hair-trigger temper (think Roy Keane & Viera) which was not a bad thing if it could be controlled. Alas Keegan couldn't, so Negouai in my opinion never got off the starting blocks for us and if anything he went backwards.

I'd say Bianchi but i think everyone else backed him to be honest always sang his name everygame, he could have become a cult hero i'm sure of it!

mmmm as for players i liked but nobody else did

Sun Jihai!!! and Vassell i think he got a well rough deal, not blessed with talent but always put 100% in, you knew you were guarenteed that!

Bosvelt, although a few own up to liking him nowadays so maybe I wasn't on my own.
