United wage bill in first quarter now up something like 13 per cent to £70m.
Which equates to £280m a year, which is enormous, considering we are lower and over a 13-month accounting period.

Not if it's net spend just the player sales don't cover it , however as @prestwichblue posted the savings in player wages in addition to sales should just about cover it. The other thing I forgot was the shirt sleeve sponsorship however much that is starting this year plus the amazon money.No because the player sales alone cover that in this financial year.

I thought we'd short stacked our wages and have big trophy bonuses? However, it is funny that the rags all play for the shirt....and the wage packet.
