Spanish Super Cup was played abroad this season I think, probably the only fixture you could move without uproar. Thing is though, imagine our reaction if they moved it in 2011? A game at Wembley was a far bigger event then.
That's exactly what I'm saying mate, wouldn't take that day away from Leicester, Portsmouth or Wigan fans for all the money in the world.Just to clarify - do you mean because it was the first thing we'd won in ages so going to Wembley was a big deal and could be to another club if they win the prem or fa cup? If so then maybe a fair point as we've become pretty accustomed to the place so aren't as fussed whereas other clubs may not be the same, however if you go all the way back to 97 there are only Leicester, Portsmouth and (fucking) Wigan who'd probably fall into this category as the only other teams who've competed for it in that 21 year period are City, united, arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool!

Why, who's ever suggested anything of the sort? Why don't we take Manchester out of the name and become City Sharks, then play every game in a different county to become more international.
Then again, we could just keep it as it is, as it's worked fine for over a century.
Not for the fans of those clubs it isn't.A bit much for a day out at Wembley for the charity shield for one team every seven years IMO
There's been numerous suggestions about playing a game overseas, even a 39th game in order to reach out to overseas fans. OBVIOUSLY, I was over exaggerating but it's quite clear that I am against making any changes that takes City away from Manchester to become more international. Why, who's ever suggested anything of the sort?
