MCFC are delighted to be sponsoring Manchester’s Chinese New Year celebrations.
The City will host a spectacular four day event to welcome the Year of the Monkey, which begins on Monday 8 February.

Also known as the lunar New Year, Manchester is celebrating with a packed programme of events between 4 and 7 February, encouraging people to ‘Leap into the Year of the Monkey.’

The festivities begin on Thursday evening with a stunning 3D light show at St Anne’s Church and also include the not-to-be-missed dragon parade on the Sunday.

As always the City’s streets will be decorated with thousands of lanterns and there is also the opportunity to enjoy a Chinese food market, live music, lion dancers, fireworks and more.

MCFC will of course be marking the start of a New Year in their own special way as this February we will be launching our Mandarin spoken Stadium and Club Tour.

Plus, we will also be celebrating at City Square before City face Leicester in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday 6 February.

They're going to have to put on some show to beat Thaksin's Thai party in Albert Square.

So begins the catering to our new chinese fans.
 
We really are pushing hard aren't we as a club, brilliant to see. We are relentless in our charm but non of it is seedy, we are open, honest in our dealings with only the scent of good business management around and nothing surreptitious. It may not seem a big thing to many but i like subtle style and class in operation you may note in life.

You get the idea at say Utd, the offices have not been cleaned for a couple of days, people have ties loosened and unkempt hair as their primary concern is fixing their club.
An bloke in the background wrapping tape around the air con to bodge it, empty printer toner cartridges just lay about the kitchenette area cause it is the only space left in the office.
Our office has smiles and well done windsor knot's in tie's and a general buzz of a company perfectly at ease with it's self, this is the mental image i get anyway.

This state of affairs is acceptable !

Again City take an interest in the Manchester community, and alright this is linked to our new shareholders, but still more possitive pro Manc stuff from the club as we have always done, should be a great celebration

I don't agree with all of that, I can't say why (I know you won't appreciate that) but I don't. The club is very fucking impressive, don't get me wrong, but not perfect (no company is).

There's a really large Chinese community in Manchester which not only supports football teams but gets lots of regular visits from family who also support football teams.
