When I was younger I got this tattoo on the inside of my arm:

However, now I realise it is a bit shit on it's own and want something a bit more creative - but still with a City theme! I visited a tattoo studio with a great reputation in Manchester City Centre today, and he has sketched out a possible cover-up. As you can see (below) the eagle, ship, outline of the shield and stars are there, but looks more like a piece of art than a chavvy football tattoo:

What do you think? They can get me in on Monday afternoon!

Also, don't know whether to get it in grey & black, or get it in colour with a blue moon in the background!?

Can't make it out at all.

It's a goldfish with no eyes underneath a trout with it's gob open about to swallow a large ball of fish food. But what do the stars mean?

Can't really work out how it will cover it up...but if done properly it could look like a decent piece of artwork but still with the City theme as you say. unusual and different and think it could work out well.
I don't have a tattoo personally but always think colour tattoos can look a bit tacky but obviously its up to you!

Thanks!

I think the wings of the eagle will all be black, to cover up the current lettering.

I was leaning towards going for black and grey, but think a touch of colour, maybe the waves that the ship is on, and the moon being light blue would look good!

Going to ask him to do two sketches, one with and one without colour before I choose!

"knots in cotton" comes to mind... looks like some kind of turtle by the way.

Don't get that drawing whatever you do, you don't want two shit tattoos in the same place.
