Two impressive victories again this morning for the academy. The u16s are fucking incredible. They're the most exciting generation we have at the club allegedly and the figures seem to back that up. That's 19 goals in two games now (10-0 last week) and today they didnt have Dele-Bashiru, Diaz, Smith for half a game and Lewis Blackshaw, plus they were up against sunderland's u17s.

The u18s arent bad either! Five in five and at the top of the table. Thought Dele-Bashiru who stepped up from the 16s as Patching is with England was great. Strong, bullish, tough. Very positive too and with a good turn of pace. Buckley was the MOTM for me though. He's improving so so much. Absolute nightmare over on the right and he reminds me of Sterling a lot. Scored two.

Wrote a detailed report here and posted a bit about the u16s too.. enjoy!

The academy is shite though, just ask Collymore. There isn't one of these under 16's or even the under 18's who has become a regular starter for us. :)

Seriously the future of the club looks very bright going of the progress of these kids, the chances of them making the grade are remote however every now and then a crop come through who are exceptional. If only one or two of these kids break their way into the senior squad in the years to come then it will be an excellent return.

Thankfully I think there are some genuinely special talents amongst these teams. Sancho, Campbell and Diaz with the 16s are the kind that simply destroy defences. I genuinely believe we may have a wonderkid about to be unearthed very soon...

Haha un fucking believable these U16s are incredible Twosips. Did you go to any of the games mate.

Sadly I can't. They play at the same time as the u18s meaning its impossible to watch both - though I have seen the odd glimpse of them (fifteen/ten mins here and there as kicks offs are delayed and games overlap etc) and they do look as good as they sound. So fast and skilful and they immediately go for the jugular. Its scary stuff and they seem to score, or at least create a great chance, within two minutes.

Considered watching one over the u18s the other week but i think the right thing to do is keep an eye out for them and only assess them when they get to the 18s seeing as theyre kids.

First time I've read your blogs, brilliant mate. It's impossible to not get excited when reading stuff like this. Who would you says the most promising out of the under 18's? I'm guessing there's a fair few.

Thanks fella. Have a read back! Been posting for a while now.

I guess we all know of Garcia, Humphreys etc etc... the hidden gem is Brahim Diaz. Tiny, but exceptionally talented and genuinely Messi-like in his style. He wont reach that level (who will?) but i actually believe he'll be a world star... but as you said theres absolutely loads. I suggest reading this mate - http://inesteemedkompany.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/cfa-season-preview-u18s.html

Class write up. I wished I lived closer to Manchester to get a glimpse of some of these lads. I'm aware of the eds lads, like angelino, barker, maffeo, Garcia etc. I'm always hearing that it's the u15's/u16's that are the ones to watch out for. Brahims name has been going around for a couple of years now, is this now his sort of breakthrough season where he steps ups and gets into the eds squad? Or has he already featured in that.

I was there against Bolton when Brahim Diaz played. I was sat with is family and even had a couple of words with is dad.
1st time i have seen him live and he didn't disappoint.

What type of midfielder is Diallo?

I saw in that Dutch tournament a few months back and looked a deep-lying passing midfielder but reading up on some of the game reviews I get the feeling he is more box-to box.

What is he and is he our best central midfielder at EDS/U18 level?
