How much have we spent since that turd Tixxi has been in charge? Yet still a disjointed unbalanced squad. It's easy to blame Pellers, just like it was easy to blame Bobby. If we have 2 people who dictate the transfer policy and likely team selection, but have a manager to take the blame then we will have some major problems.

Marking Silva out of the game only really works with Nasri missing too.

The only players to come out of today with credit are Yaya and Nasri (possibly Clichy too)

I thought Clichy was immense at times, some of his dribbles were top notch, his turn around from his shambles of October/ Novemeber has been inspiring.
Clichy was our best player.

I hope the scouseres kick fuck out of them over the two semi games... hazard and terry out for a few weeks will would be a nice start..

"we are not going to win the league this year".

Yeah that's the spirit :-/

We were poor today defo.
On the flip side we are equally capable of going on another winning streak.

To early to chuck the towel in bud, plenty can and will happen between now and the end of the season.
Personally i am looking at Chelsea's lack of injuries and then wondering if it is just hard luck or are our medical staff fucking shit.
I do not think it is a coincidence our stoppy starty form has coincided with stoppy starty players via injury.

We do need to buck our ideas up though, the lack of awareness for their second goal was pretty frustrating.
So was the achingly obvious issue with Jovetic being static up top on the left. It was a no go zone for us second half all he did was cut it right back every time.
Only when he decided to run across the front line did Arsenal start to flounder. Then he went right back to doing nowt.

He has enough on his plate back in Italy,

Yet we all know what will happen there. The exact same as has happened at every club he has ever worked at in the history of his career. He'll turn it around and win them trophies.

And actually, disappointing result against Empoli aside, he's doing well there

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.espnfc.com/club/internazionale/110/blog/post/2240515/serie-a-roberto-mancinis-culture-change-at-inter-is-having-a-big-impact" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.espnfc.com/club/internaziona ... big-impact</a>

The Nerazzurri put in a fine display to see off high-flying Genoa in a 3-1 win at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza this weekend. The energy and determination that Roberto Mancini's team showed in their last game against Juventus was evident in their latest performance. The side's scintillating first half display rocked the away side but the second half was not as convincing and will be a timely reminder of the distance they still need to travel.

The Curva Nord (supporters section) was in full voice as the teams came onto the pitch. The normal undercurrent of nerves and anxiety seemed to have dissipated due to forward Lukas Podolski starting for his home debut and the fact that former Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri was on the bench. The draw in the last game against Juventus in the Derby d'Italia had also shown that there had been signs of improvement and that the team were capable of more than they had been showing.

The game itself started with Inter pressing Genoa high up the pitch and the application of the players is a welcome trait that is evident in their new mentality. Throughout the first half the players energetically and professionally stuck to their task of harrowing the opposition and not letting them settle. This in turn resulted in the away side giving the ball away much more than has been seen in previous games and Gian Piero Gasperini's team had no reply.

Tactically Mancini had tackled the opposition coaches 3-4-3 by employing Podolski and Hernanes out wide. Gary Medel would also sit in with the two center backs when Inter attacked meaning that the full backs could double up in the wide areas. This completely over ran Genoa and it in the end forced Gasperini into a tactical switch.

A notable negative when the Grifone pulled a goal back, was the automatic switch that seems to control the crowd in the San Siro. The nerves and anxiety swept through the stadium felt icier than the January winds that crawl quickly up the tall grey stands. The fans are not stupid and are well aware that beyond this excellent transfer window and this new style of play, is a soft underbelly that as yet is still to be addressed.

Samir Handanovic once again did a superlative job in masking a few of Inter's frailties by pulling off some superb saves. The second half was a disappointment despite the Nerazzurri scoring late on to clinch all three points.

Mancini's analysis saw him summarise his team's performance by telling The Inter Channel: "I'm pleased with the result and the first half, not the second. The lads are working well but to win changes nothing. We need time and that's only natural. It was important to get a victory today and perform well with this system."

It is this sense of calm and realism that is giving everyone at the club a great deal of hope. His team is making vast improvements on and off the pitch and the word "project" finally has meaning. This is amplified by his insistence that the fans and his team should not get carried away, after all, this is only his first home win and there is still a long way to go in the season.

Roberto Mancini has restored some confidence at Inter and that has helped the side in getting some positive results.

The fact that Mancini is insisting that his players don't take their eye of the ball is perhaps a little ironic as during the game against Genoa, stand in captain Marco Andreolli saw his wayward clearance hit his coach square in the face. This knocked him off his feet and sent both participants viral, as vines and tweets continued to replay the moment from every angle.

Mancini's reaction to this was again one of calm and Former Inter President Massimo Moratti picked up on this. He said told Gazzetta Dello Sport that "He's changed the mentality of the squad, he's made them play well.

The fact that's he's got the whole environment under control was demonstrated by the way he reacted to Andreolli accidentally kicking the ball off him. Dusting himself off and pretending to substitute him gave an idea of the way he and the team are on the same wavelength. He's been a breath of fresh air."

This brief comment was actually a key point. Mancini has changed the environment and he has changed the mentality. He has done this is an incredibly short time and while there have been improvements on the pitch(since the winter break), the ones off it may hold the key.

Mancini had identified that Inter were far from the finished article. He knows there are problems that will take time to be fixed. The mentality he is installing in the club will be best used when Inter suffer s defeat. It is that positive attitude that, when you're knocked down, you just dust yourself down and carry on.

Thought Arsenal stuck to their game plan in the first half but returned back to their open selves in the 2nd. We simply didn't have the players to take advantage of a more open 2nd half.m
Clichy and Fernandihno were very good. Everyone else was average to poor.
Arsenals penalty was legit. Kompany again doing his best Nastasic impression. Making rash decision and then complaining afterward. He should have been Red carded by the way for that horrendous tackle later in the game, but wasn't. So when I see folks trying to blame this loss on the ref, I laf. He was the least of our problem. Gave Kolciensy a yellow 3 minutes into the game but we couldn't take advantage. Gave a legitimate penalty, I don't blame Komps, he got caught flat footed, and realized it as soon as the LB decided to run a wall pass instead of attempting to turn and dribble Komps. And the kid was in behind. I would have done the same. But this doesn't mean it's not a Pen. It was.
