Tosin Adarabioyo, Angelino and Pablo Maffeo could all feature tonight against Celtic after training with the first team. [Mail]

16-year-old Phil Foden was left out of the EDS squad today and could also be a surprise inclusion, while Fabian Delph trained. [Mail]

I think it would be brilliant if he plays. Most fans, even the ones who follow the academy like me, know very little about him so it would be like a new player. Don't see it happening though.

We should be treating this game with some seriousness, regardless of being thru or not, the team owe the fans a win, and the last thing we need is another home defeat.
Call it a moral booster if you want, we are at home, teams need to fear coming to The Etihad again

Well it's just shy of four hours to go until kick off. I am a Celtic fan and looking forward to the game, if apprehensive. All I think we can reasonably hope for is to have a go.

We missed a sitter in the final minute against The Gladbacks and at this level, in this group, means catch ye next year.

This may be a dead rubber to you but it isn't to us. This is by far the toughest group we could have found ourselves in and to be fair to us we have come on. Rogers has been in six months and the main difference is under him we qualified. That was our cup final. The money we make, although nothing compared to the cash available in England, will hopefully help us take another step forward.

Tonight's result may not have any bearing in anything other than showing again that even though we play in Scotland, with all that entails, we at least have a go and play some good stuff.

We could get hammered tonight and up here loads will be made of that, the press up here who tend to favour our friends across the city, will forget that Scottish fitba is shite, which is their usual mantra and have a go about not being able to hold out one of the best teams in the world at home. Fuck them.

We know where we are, but that doesn't mean we turn up in awe. Fuck that.

I'm hoping for another great game and atmosphere. I genuinely hope you win the CL and think you can do it.

Hope everybody has a great day and everybody goes home safe and feeling better for having gone, dead rubber or not.

Come On You Bhoys in Green.

Good post, enjoy the game
I enjoyed the atmosphere in the first game and can see why teams struggle at your place with the noise
Not sure if it was just my seating position, or a mix of the noise and weather etc but the game looked like a 6 a side game to me indoors.
Crazy game where the ball was either in the net or being pinged about at 100mph

Doubt tonight will be such an occasion mate!

We will play a very mixed team, much like the one at United in the League Cup. It will even the game out and it will likely be a draw.

I watched the game again today but resisted catching up with you beating Barca. I thought, why put yourself through that you old twat?

I know how hard it is for anybody to beat them and by all accounts should have been even more than 3.

That's the level you are at. We respect that and indeed the way you play the game.

It doesn't matter who you put on as all of your squad are brilliant players, well most. There are guys in your squad who would walk into a dozen Prem teams, so playing them is still an uphill struggle for us.

But, that what fitba us all about. Try and stay composed when in possession and run like a bastard when you're not.

I am eyeing up my Malt whisky's and wondering when the medicinal measures should be started.

Won't be long.

Couldnt care less if we get beat tonight. We should change it right up and play some new blood. I will be particularly disappointed if Maffeo doesnt play. There is nothing on the game, our defence is appalling, we should give him a game. I thought he played great against the rags in the league cup, give him another go

Confidence maybe?
