On a more sombre note, if/when we lose a prem game it will be down to City,
The first 30 mins went to plan, 'pool came out with high tempo high pressing, getting all but sturrige behind the ball and breaking fast. We handled it well, and they slowly ran out of steam.
They had a couple of half chances to show for an awful lot of effort. City on the other hand did enough without throwing the kitchen sink, probably due to the confidence of being champs, and it paid off, Shame about their goal, took a little shine off a very professional performance.

We got a bit sloppy last 15 minutes but other than that it was a good performance without being outstanding.

Thought Jovetic, Fernando and Yaya were good tonight and as always Kompany.

Played some lovely stuff 2nd half.

I actually don't blame them. They've only had Carragher, Skrtel, Coates, Johnson, and Agger to really compare with recently so good defending must look somewhat strange to them.
