City v Napoli Post Match Discussion Thread

good result, Napoli are a good side very disciplined, I think their style of play will be the most difficult for us to break down.

I believe Barry was a little to eager to push forward today De Jong would have been better vs them, I hope he will be fit for munich game.

mate says Mancini said that a draw tonight is a good result?

Mancini knows there are no Red Bull Salzburg's in this group, right?

"We lost a stupid ball for the goal and Napoli were very dangerous on the counter attack. We know the Champions League is difficult but we started well and now we must win in Munich in our next game."

Does that sound happy?
wtf its a must win in munich dont talk shit

Happy with a draw there. They went through us like butter on the counter attack. Their goal came as no surprise and I thought they'd get another. Toure and Barry were strangely absent on occasion. At one point there were four advanced Napoli attackers in between them and our defence! Where was the protection? We sorely missed De Jong tonight. I know Barry doesn't like to bomb forward but when we're attacking high as a team he can't make it back. Anyhow, if we can play on the counter as good as Napoli at their ground I'll be pleased.

Been nervous as fuck all day and the game didn't help, although it was a good 1, bit of a wake up call me thinks....

Our play reminded me of Messi trying to go through the middle for the 3452nd time and loosing the ball.

It was said in half time by Platt. We need width.

If we need width, why wait to the 74th minute to make the first sub? The second Johnson and Clichy came on we looked more dangerous. Obviously the big man up front was taken off, so no height to aim for.

Strange coaching by Bobby.

Build up play was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too slow. By the time the ball was on their half, they had the entire team in place and organized. Just because you play against a counter attacking team, doesn't mean you can't counter attack yourself, given the opportunity.

I think he made the right changes as Kolarov and Nasri were the worst two on the pitch.

Clichy and Johno then gave us the width we was crying out for but couldn't make the most of the service.

A good baptism and i still think we'll win in Munich..................

Mancini has a lot to prove, managerial wise, in this competition. Don't forget he didn't do anything with Inter in the CL & was sacked after Liverpool knocked Inter out of the competition.
