City V PSG ticket Prices: Club Statement

These groups get tickets for every Champs League game. Students get tickets at reduced prices. It's nothing new!
I'm not saying it is but the fact is they're counted as "sold" as soon as they are allocated to whatever group they're allocated to, whether those people turn up or not. So saying there looks to be a decent number of seats sold is not necessarily true.

Think your wrong with that, the first group would be level 2 central blocks and the unis/ schools will get whats left around the north stand.. There are nearer 40 sold than 30000, I've done enough seat counting over the season to know that much.

I hope the Club have the sense to announce season ticket price freezes before the second leg.

Then we could see the usual rush on sales (if the Paris games goes OK) that could see a crowd over 50k

It's ironic (in a way) that this could be our biggest following from schools, who access cheaper tickets, when many Blues don't take kids to midweek games on school nights. I'm not saying one is more right than the other. It's down to the choice of families.

Anyway, the ticket prices were still too high for many Blues. Virtually everyone agrees on this.

Look at 138 for example. Virtually the first ten rows are blacked out and that suggests those tickets are already allocated to someone. I reckon that's club staff, CFA players and families. That doesn't mean they're sold and all those seats could be empty on the night. My own block, 109, looks about 2/3rds empty.
Yes those 138 could be as that's where they usually put schools stutents etc. To be fair 109 is the only green block until you get down to 102, Maybe its you,:) (that's a joke,by the way.)

They do but my point, which I've just written about on City Watch, is that a price for an individual may or my not be fair but it's missing the chance to generate a Hamburg-style attendance and atmosphere that is wrong.

I agree.

That said, at the Kiev game our most vociferous supporters were the Singing Section and a group of school kids - who knew the words to all our songs!

So the ground will be "FULL" of tourist, half and half scarves, jesters , selfie sticks, wookies etc, the referee will be bent , we will lose 5-0 away and 6-0 at home.
But I will be there , ,I don't care. I see more tourist at ashton u Lyne my town and there's not much there.
It no where near as bad as people make it out to be .
So if you want to go just man/woman up and enjoy it, if you don't watch it onTv , or don't bother at all. It up to you I don't care.
Let's hope for a good result In Paris, and the Etihad believe me will be rocking.

That's fair enough. There isn't a single one of us who doesn't want the best for City, even those of us who are unhappy about ticket prices and are thinking of protesting. As far as I'm aware, nobody on here has ever criticized Sheikh Mansour. To a Man we're all grateful for what he's done for Manchester City, and all the investment he has ploughed into the club, East Manchester, and Manchester. However, with ticket prices spiralling out of control for many City fans, some of us are trying to highlight this issue.(via a protest) We're not protesting against Sheikh Mansour or Manchester City Football Club, we're protesting against high ticket prices that the club can control and rectify. From a personal point of view I want as many genuine City fans attending matches at the Etihad as possible, via afforable tickets. That is all. And I will state it again, and like many on here I contributed to the banner.

MANCHESTER THANKS SHEIKH MANSOUR

Fair post.
Let's hope the prices do come down for many of us, tho if we do beat PSG unfortunately I don't think they will be any cheaper for a semi final, wether it's full or not for the PSG game, but you never know. If it was up to me I would prob have every game up till the semi at 20 pounds for adults and 5 for kids, and the semi maybe 30 for adults and 10 for kids , I don't know is that still too dear for some .

You might be a better judge of this but looking at the planner I reckon we must be at around 40000 now, if we are still in the tie I 'd expect it to push up to around 50,000.

I think you may be about right with 40,000 being "allocated", not "sold", there is a difference
Some blocks have 400+ seats still available. Still some really good seats available but obviously the middle - the back of the majority of the upper tiers are yet to be filled

I'd bet that the hardcore have all bought now with a few thousand that will buy next week (after pay day) and probably a few more thousand will buy if we've not been mullered in Paris
My expectation is an attendance between 45,000 and 50,000 and I believe that's where @Prestwich_Blue has pitched his forecast
