City V PSG ticket Prices: Club Statement

I think you may be about right with 40,000 being "allocated", not "sold", there is a difference
Some blocks have 400+ seats still available. Still some really good seats available but obviously the middle - the back of the majority of the upper tiers are yet to be filled

I'd bet that the hardcore have all bought now with a few thousand that will buy next week (after pay day) and probably a few more thousand will buy if we've not been mullered in Paris
My expectation is an attendance between 45,000 and 50,000 and I believe that's where @Prestwich_Blue has pitched his forecast
I'm saying around the same as Kiev at 42-43k. The club might have gambled correctly of course and if we get a 0-0 in Paris or it's 1 goal either way it could be higher.

They do but my point, which I've just written about on City Watch, is that a price for an individual may or my not be fair but it's missing the chance to generate a Hamburg-style attendance and atmosphere that is wrong.
This is the issue for me and i'm really scratching my head over it?

Only English club left in the Champs League, the spotlight is on us and we're going to have a half empty stadium, we've really missed a trick here

That'll be on the low side mate, and even if City achieve an attendance of 49,500, 90%, that is still shocking for a club of our size that has reached the quarters for the first time

I think the top and bottom of it is that this dept is run by Amateurs..

The farce over people paying different prices in the same section for season tickets proved that..

This could proof to be a vital game in our history and the people who decide on ticket prices have decided to fleece the fans to attend this important game..

If the stadium is half empty, hopefully the people who made the decision will be sacked..

They are leaving us wide open to ridicule - even fans of fucking Wrexham call it the emptihad these days.

The club doesnt get it or simply don't give a shit.

Peoples main footballing budget is spent on season tickets , the rest is just an expensive luxury- if the club actually knew it's own fan base they might get closer and understand the fans that have propped this club up for decades.

How stupid are they?

Don't agree with walkouts over this but do agree with many that pricing on such a way is fucking stupid. As much as the game is historic by the same token it has to be a reward for the fans and prices should be st realistically.

You've got it wrong sweetheart. I've never supported higher ticket prices and my only responses of a personal nature have been in response to a specific ad hominem attack.

My point all along is that we shouldn't publicly demonstrate against this great club. There are other ways to address the pricing issue.

You ad hominem attack on me does you no credit.
Your continued use of ad hominem remarks unmasks the incongruence of your feigned indignance. Choosing to continue using ad hominems further reveals your commitment to useful and respectful discussion.

The supporters should do whatever they feel is right, you do not think or speak for them only yourself, hopefully. I respectfully disagree that the supporters shouldn't publicly demonstrate. I imagine there will be some non attendees, banners and maybe some grumbles/booing at the 60 minute mark against Brom. Especially so if the performance is more of the typically lethargic variety up until then.

There are many hardcore City fans that are being deliberately priced out by the painfully out of touch corporates at City. Those guys will come and go just like the tourists once we fall from grace again. Over the years the crowd at City is always changing, but I'm looking about asking. Why should some mute day tripping Johnny come lately be sitting next to me deciding if he is entertained enough to sing or cheer, when more and more charismatic, loyal and loud city fans now have to cheer at a TV screen in the pub? All for a few peanuts extra, a shit atmosphere and empty seats to deflate the team? It's pure greed.

So not we should have to pass a test to see if we can sing loud, A loyalty test not sure how that one would work and a charisma test is this some sort of joke telling competition

Where have these hordes been hiding for the past 10 years as the atmosphere at this ground has been poor surely these wandering groups have not been priced out of all the games if so who is more loyal the fan who turns up week after week sits and watches his team or the fan who hasn't seen city play for years but would if the prices were lower but hasn't been to any games for a while.

Spot on! Tens of thousands of loyal Blues turned up for Kiev at home!
