City V PSG ticket Prices: Club Statement

I'm not mocking anyone. Everyone has their price they are willing to pay. I do think the way the league form has been recently has left a lot of fans frustrated, myself included. I think we have all been expecting us to get into gear and mount a challenge and we simply haven't done that and then the announcements of £60 quarter final tickets has just made a lot see red (even though nobody will actually pay £60 if you're already a member).

But of those who aren't happy with the pricing i would ask where was the protest in 2013 against bayern munich £48-£53 for a group stage game? Think this was a sell out.

Barcelona 2014 and 2015 £45-£55 again think these were a sell out.

Kiev last round, ticket prices people deem would of been fit for this round against PSG. why wasnt that a sell out? where was the atmosphere we think we will get from pricing tickets cheaper?

Peoples discontent on our pricing has been around long before the PSG prices were announced.

Got it in one.
I get the impression many are looking for an exit strategy after a couple of bad seasons
Where do you get that impression from? If anything the arrival of Guardiola should mean those disappointed with the last couple of seasons have some renewed positivity and more reason to want to attend next year.
It's possible that fans are genuinely concerned about prices. It's sad that other blues are seemingly happy to mock them by making out that it's just the shit football putting people off. If that was the case we'd have given up many times over the last 30 odd years.[/QUOTE]

I get my impression from talking to many City fans and from here and I do tend to disregard a lot of stuff that people say on the internet for reasons that are obvious.

I was going to add something about Guardiola and his effect but left it out.

My own first protest at City was about 'sack the board, sack McDowell' . I got a clip off my dad for that. I remember standing with him and his mates in the uncovered Popular Side and they would always say' that was terrible. I am never going to watch this shower again' and then they would traipse off saying see you next week'. And they all came back the next week. But this seems different.

I have seen much worse stuff to do with City on and off the field since then but I have not been tempted to give them up. For the first time ever I see loyal fans being criticised for GOING.... a new development but not one that will worry me or you. I am too long in the tooth to stop going.

Not on this sort of scale. PSG many fans have been vocal, i've seen a lot to do about away tickets etc but nothing on this scale about ticket prices for a single game at home

I must have missed this happening. In fact many who are critical of the clubs attitude to pricing still go week in week out.

It's growing sentiment. I think the clubs statement has put a lot of peoples back up as well.

The novelty has worn off with paying stupid money for the CL, I felt duty bound in the first few seasons now literally couldn't give a fuck about it, the prices for me personally have tipped it over the edge for me, for me and my 16 year old its a £100 night out with tickets and a few drinks, 90 minutes of "entertainment" for £100-nah you can stuff it for that.

Me and the lads season tickets combined are £560 in SS level 3, that works outs at £29 a game for the both of us., so why the fuck do the club thing they can charge double that for a midweek night game?

Until the club adopt a decent pricing structure for the CL then we wont be going-its a fucking rip off.

Yes I am one - my ticket for PSG increased by about 90% and I am very unhappy about that. The main bone of contention, apart from single PL match prices which do not affect me, seems to be the CL. Two weeks ago people were moaning about £30 for a CL ticket against Kiev which compares well with the other English teams who WERE in the CL.

Let's see what happens with season tickets for next year - that is the real cruncher and is the subject of guesswork.
