City vs Bayern Munich Post match Thread

Well, where to start ? I thought we were absolutely fantastic last night, the best performance this season by far, I thought we could win but to put in a performance like that away at City, well I wasn't expecting it to be that good.
If Müller's shot had gone in instead of hitting the post at 3-0 we could have got 5 or 6. I still think City will qualify along with us but we should be able to win the group now, Ribery and Robben were immense.

Men against boys BB , you were sharp and clinical but we were absolute dross.

We made you look a lot better than we should have.

Many of the other sides with so called inferior squads would have put in a much better fist of it than we did last night.

At least they would have pressed a bit harder in larger numbers to make it more difficult than the paddock of space we allowed to have every time we gave up possession to you.

Given that Pellegrini is 60 years old, he probably won't be with us for very long even if he does achieve decent success.

I'd throw the bank at Guardiola when the time comes.

I wonder why Wenger didn't want to come over.

Surely MP wasn't first choice for our dynamic duo.

I wonder if a world class manager would ever want to manage us.

I can't think of many reasons why they wouldn't but what would I know.

He's winning things with Bayern Munich and in a very good and successful league, why would he come to us?

Frightening thing as well is that Bayern are not top of the Bundesliga, they're in a 3 team fight at the moment with Leverkusen and the leaders Dortmund.

we played the best team in the world and the manager adopted tactics so naïve it was frightening, but even scarier, having witnessed us getting torn a new one, the same team and tactics trotted out for the second half. Amazingly the 1st change was a like for like, but eventually getting silva and some ball retention arrived when the game was long gone.

the players were hung out to dry by out tactics, nothing more nothing less.

He won't stay there forever.

Given our Barca connection, the ongoing developments at the club and the resources that would be at his disposal we'd be in prime position to sign him once he finishes up there, if that's the path we'd want to take.

I also do feel that he'll want his next mission to be in England. What better choice than us?

This 100%.

I don't buy the argument that the players were lazy and didn't care. They chased shadows all night long, yet it was obvious, if not before the game, that after 20 mins. a midfield change was needed.

Now we'll be knackered for Everton too!

I was saying this after about 20/30 mins. We needed to bring another midfielder on . I also would have brought Richards off and brought zabs on, who should have started anyway !. Can't believe pellers just sat there and watched the onslaught and only changed things when it was way too late . Really giving me question marks about him now . Wasnt impressed at all .

Joe Hart :(
I think a goalkeeper of his caliber should have stopped the 1st and 3rd goal. It's so worrying. He has been consistently making mistakes.

Clichy :(
Did someone press a pause button on him?

Negredo, Silva, Micah, Milner :)
Negredo has to be our first choice striker now. Could have scored 2!
Good to see Silva back.

I honestly believe that even though we were outplayed and poor, we still could have managed to get one point from a draw.

Come on City!
