I'd like to see Sterling up front as his pace will keep them busy and stretch the defence, whereas even at 50 I could mark Bony out of the game. With the injuries, we'll have at least three EDS players on the bench (Maffeo, Adarabioyo and Celina). Would be nice to see at least one of them to get some game time tonight. Fairly sure Pellegrini will use his three senior subs though, regardless of the circumstances.
Reckon we'll line up like this:
Hart
Sagna
Otamendi
Mangala
Clichy
Fernandinho
Delph
Toure
Silva
De Bruyne
Bony

Something about ΕDS players.
Pozo is a bench player for a bottom team in the Segunda division . Lopes had played only 2 matches for Monaco.Barker is also a sub in Rotheram.Ntcham had become a sub also after a wonderfull start at Genoa.
Ι don t blame Pellegrini that he is not using them as they fail to play for smaller clubs.
So they are not footballers but Citys programmed robots ...These lads are being asked to play football at a club that do not play the system of football they have been trained to play in, they need minutes in a blue shirt before any decisions can be made.
What's our injury list looking like atm?
I think the answer is to play sterling up front and play counter attacking football at the moment.
A front four of
Navas --- Silva --- De Bruyne
-----------Sterling------------
If they all play fairly freely and constantly make runs into the spaces with Silva pulling the strings (or Yaya/fernandinho on the odd occasion) then I can see a lot of genuine goal scoring chances being created with not too much risk being taken with our under performing defence.
If we play a bit deeper our tired full backs won't be caught out as much and our defence will look a more solid unit when they're closer together, also it means the defence don't have to run the same amounts.
Of course we all know that Bony will start, we'll try and push up as much as possible and get caught out numerous times. Thus the outcome come of the result will depend on, how well Joe Hart will play and how productive we can be upfront as they will create chances if we continue with the same tactics.
