Some fans want us to rest players, but often that rebounds on you and you end up playing a tough game and even extra time, or get beat.

Ideally we win in midweek and have a comfortable match. Best way to ensure that is to play a strong side

.....and no repeat of the same fixture last year that went to extra time..........
with an away team win!!

Does anyone know roughly what time the team are likely to arrive before the match? I'm bringing my young son to the match as a birthday present and he really wants to see the team bus and players arrive, just wondering what sort of time I need to get there?
Thanks

Tonights EDS line up.......
Lawlor, Maffeo, Facey, Bryan, Smith-Brown, Glendon, Barker, Fofana, Pozo, Bytyqi, Angelino

That team will do fine for Wednesday :)

We have 2 really important, must win, probably must win and make a statement games coming up. For me, i would sacrifice the Cup game for them. Also considering that many of the regulars for the United and CSKA games have already played 3 games in 7 days. For me, I'd start with

-------------------------Willy---------------------------------
Sagna------Demi--Boyata/Nasty/Mangal---Clichy-
--------------Fernandinho----Fernando----------------
Navas--------------Pozo----------Jovetic/Nasri------
-----------------------Dzeko-------------------------------

My reasons:
1) All the back 4 Zabba, Komp, Mangala and Kolarov start for both the derby and CSKA so they should be given rest
2) Fernandinho wasnt used on Saturday and was a sub for the CSKA game. I would start him for both the derby and CSKA, but he can play for an hour and be substituted for Milner, who for me is also a starter for both CSKA and united games.
3) Silva, Yaya and Kun all need rest.
4) If we arent too convinced with boyata or Nasty partnering Demi, then I think its fine if Mangala gets more playing time. Playing alonside a cool head like Demi will help him
5) Jovetic starts only because I think he needs game time, for me he is a starter at the derby too. Although if Nasri can play I would give Nasri an hour and Jovetic 30 mins

This will then give us a fresh, balanced, and match sharp starting line up v the rags:

-------------------------Hart------------------------
Zabba------Komps----Mangala---Kolarov
--------------Yaya---------Fernandinho------
Milner--------------Silva-------------Jovetic
-----------------------Aguero---------------------

With Milner swapping sides if Di Maria is on the other flank, moving Jovetic central and Silva right. This lineup will also allow us to move to 433 quickly if united pack the midfield by going to a diamond formation

-------------------------Hart------------------------
Zabba------Komps----Mangala---Kolarov
------------Milner--Yaya--Fernandinho-----
Silva-----------------------------------------Jovetic
-----------------------Aguero---------------------

Cannot agree fellow Blue. Mangala and Company have shown that they are not quite there as an effective unit and need more game time to gel. I would suggest they both start on Wed for that purpose alone. If we are crusining after an hr, then rest them
