Thanks
Based on how they've done tonight, it's pretty lucky you aren't our manager then! ;)aguero93:20 said:FantasyIreland said:Tonights EDS line up.......

That team will do fine for Wednesday :)

Pozo might just be able to, then who? Lopes, Denayer, Rekik and maybe even Cole would be able to do a job, but they're all out on loan, the rest of our EDS are very young and not particularly close to first team level yet. Most of the more promising EDS players are 17/18 and only in their first or second year even at that level. Barker possibly has enough pace to come off the bench and cause problems, maybe Fofana could play at a push, but you can't just play young players for the sake of it, they need to be ready. Not sure how wise it is to be throwing young players into a side that isn't playing well either.WNRH said:Wouldn't surprise me if Yaya, Aguero and Silva all played the way Pelegrini thinks.
Said it v Sheff Wed, there should be 3 EDS players STARTING and another 3 on the bench.
I understand where you are coming from but I am not talking about putting them in a premier league side and expecting them to produce.
We have an EDS who over the last two seasons have been very successful at their level. Lopes and Pozo, two slight foreign lads have both come on and done ok. When Suarez was here, he looked ok in the bits and bobs he played in.
We have two very important games coming up in the next week that could define Pelegrini's time here at the club as we could be way off the title and out of Europe on Bonfire Night.
He replaced Mancini with the word holistic being used but I have yet to see that come to fruition, I can understand him not doing it in the first year as he has to prove himself but there is no excuse why 3 EDS players can't start with another 3 on the bench in a Capital One Cup game against Newcastle, are we going to be that gutted if we go out of this competition? This competition should be used solely to blood young players in the future and it should have started against Sheffield Wednesday.
As for the ones who could start or come off the bench, Pozo is an obvious one, Fofana has the physical attributes, Glendon is the EDS captain, Barker is looking lively at the moment, Facey is nearly 20, played for England at every level, Angelino could get 20 mins on the left, we will never know how they will do unless they are given a chance.
Mourinho has put Lewis Baker on the bench today, he gave a debut to Dom Solanke in the Champions League on Tuesday. Wilson, Blackett and Perreria on the bench for United with Januzaj starting. Why can't we do the same?

Because we don't want to get knocked out by Milton fucking Keynes; we don't want to finish outside the top One, we want to annihilate everyone, every time. We have enough dynamite in the first team squad to blow every one to bits in all competitions. Being captain of EDS, playing for England at under 19 etc is no guarantee you can cut it with the crème de la crème. And now isn't the time to fuck around finding out. We're playing a premiership team that's just won away - not some lower league opponent. Start big and finish big tomorrow. Then move on and utterly grind those cunts into the fucking ground.
