Newcastle were wank, poor show from Pardew that they didn't even try bar the 5 minute spell just after half time.

Positives: Thought Yaya was back to his best, great to see Vince back and thought Jolene played very well. Good to see Sergio get a few mins.

Negatives: Dzeko just doesn't look interested. For someone who's 6 foot 4 he is a right soft arse.

Must have watched a different game regarding Nasri. Thought he was average as usual. Nearly always passes backwards and looks a good stone overweight.

His link-up play was good, he had three good efforts on goal (two great saves and one that was probably not too hard for the keeper as it was at a good height for him), and was twice hit from behind while he was in the air. If you're suggesting he's a soft arse because he didn't immediately jump up, then that's a reasonable argument, but if you're in the air and someone hits you in the back, it's not a matter of being soft, or weak - you're going down, whoever you are (defenders get away with this way too often on corners).

It is a bit odd, 1 hour after the final whistle and hardly anyone is logged on, let alone posting anything!

The commentators over here said we were back to last season's great playing. I agree it seemed to be a good match but boy do I hate watching us on TV much rather be there!!

Could have been 7 or 8 in truth. 4 penalty appeals not given, 4/5 fantastic saves from their keeper, a goal disallowed for offside and 2/3 good chances wasted by the likes of Barry, Silva and Dzeko.

Fair enough, on TV I couldn't see anything he did when the ball was elsewhere - if you say he didn't look interested, I'll have to take your word for it.

Sorry but I`ve given Edin my support since his arrival.However I just get the feeling he`s aint bothered anymore and a parting of the ways seems to be the best for both parties IMO.

Today - although Vincent and Kun didn't play the whole game because they've just come back from injuries - everyone apart from Richards from our all of our best players played in the game today. And what a difference it makes to us. It really highlights to me how thin our squad is and how weak it is the deeper you go into it.

Vincent Yaya and Kun didn't play at Everton and I reckon our team without those three would probably struggle to finish in the top four. With them, and with everyone else fit, we'd challenge for the title. We need longer to evolve as a top club to has ourselves a top squad. But our core today showed their class and we were very good. Well played boys!
