If you were a kid in the late 70s early 80s and went at the bottom of the Kippax or on the wall you might remember a Scots bloke who gave out sweets and chatted to kids [yeah I know..] I assumed he was dead cos I've not seen him for about thirty years but I saw him on TV today.

I think we played well, dominated possession from start to finish and with a bit of luck we could have been out of sight by half time.

I'm not worried about anything right now. It's the start of the season and things take a while to settle into a routine, that's all. We have signings to come in, the likes of Silva and a few others have been away until the start of the season and will take a couple of games to get up to speed.

Christ, this forum is really ridiculous at times, you'd think we'd lost 3-0.

At this stage of the season, one thing and one thing only matters... and that's getting points on the board.

Dzeko will be pissed about this game :-) (although he will be most happy about three points) - he should've had a hattrick with the runs he was making - the delivery just WASNT THERE.

Kolarov poor decision in the first half - Dzeko on the goal-line with the empty net.

Rodwell poor pass in the first half - Dzeko alone in front of the keeper to slot it in.

Milner cross in the second half - Dzeko all by himself on the back post, by a mile.

Milner run on the right - goes for the cut-back with Dzeko on the goal line AGAIN by himself...

Roberto - if you want best out of Edin, please watch the tape and address this shit.

de jong is and was a better defensive midfielder than barry...is it so hard to understand you have to leave?

i doubt the barry fan club on here will agree but rodwell will soon surpase barry and take his england spot

Hate to say this but another poor performance. I don't wanna see Lescott and Kolarov against Real Madrid. And Rodwell is an ok player but he's not better than de Jong so can't wait to see Garcia on the pitch. Nasri is inconsistent and Silva had some good moments but really need him at his best. Just can't wait to see Sergio back and we'll see what Maicon and Nastasic will offer. However Real Madrid would beat us like nothing today.
