City vs Southampton FA Youth Cup 5th round

That Jadon Sancho is a bit tasty. As are a few others, but Jadon really stood out tonight.

The last game in this round isn't till February 4th, so I imagine the quarter-final draw is sometime around then. Quarter-final is played around February 25th.
Cheers for that mate, looking forward to seeing them again, not wanting to put the kiss of death on them, but if they get through that are the semi finals not shown on itv 4 usually or is that just the two legged final?

Thoroughly enjoyed that yet again.
Could have been 8-0. Thought Nmecha should have had a hatrick and Dele Bahiru missed a couple too.
Everyone of them is comfortable on the ball.

Question to those in the know.
My first thought when Foden was substituted was.....could he be in the running for inclusion in Saturdays squad..
I thought he was running the show at the time. The game was won obviously.
Was he being rested?
Am I reading to much into it?

Thought the same when Sancho was taken off too.
Could we hope to see a couple of them in the squad?

Thoughts.
Foden was carrying an injury. He came over after the game and there was a clear limp but my guess is he will be playing Saturday for the 18's at Newcastle if he is fit along with Sancho. Diaz probably won't play at all saturday. Their time will come.

Diallo is the unsung hero of this team IMO - he provides the balance.

Matt Smith was really impressive early on, he's not a right back, but I feel I can actually see him improving week by week.

Duhaney another who seems to have come on leaps and bounds since last season.

Interesting. I have felt Diallo hasn't been at his best in recent games but I thought he was very good tonight.Back to how I remember when first seeing him play.Strong ,decisive and as you say playing a key role in the team as the anchor midfield man. I wonder if Jacob Davenport would get the role before him as he plays the role very well also.

Also I thought Matt Smith wasn't fully at it for the first 10 /15 minutes which is very unlike him. After a brief switch to lefy back and came back to the right and was back his excellent self. I am not sure what his best position is but such a good pro and team player.

Agree about Duhaney, really looking the part more and more

They mentioned on the fb live commentary that he had taken a slight knock n was coming off to protect him for the weekend. Some of the tricks Sancho did were class, hopefully him or Diaz will be breaking through soon enough

Coming back in Feb I believe. I think he has had a few niggling injuries since the start of this season.

Yep, chatted to his dad and he confirmed that.

Made a little video here chatting about the game mixed with some bits of footage from around the CFA too if anyone fancies a watch.

Yeah. I've heard since about The Newcastle game.
I kind of knew I was wishing for too much. Had hoped they would be travelling to London.

Agree. Their time will come.
Always impressed by Sancho, but really impressed with Foden who I've seen less of.

Anyone know much about Muric.
I've seen him twice now and although he hardly had s save to make, I have liked the confidence and presence of the guy. He's a decent height and uses it well.
