"Once it was only about trophies and derby day wins. Now the battle to be the biggest club in Manchester has gone outside the stadium and into the streets and parks beyond. A fight not only for the best footballing talent in town but for the heart and minds of the city's kids too.
We hear from those on the front line - youth coaches, scouts, academy directors, parents - about how children as young as four are being wooed and won, and how an entente at the top level is masking an increasingly intense rivalry on the playing pitches and playgrounds."

A heads up, this feature is on BBC Radio 5 Live today (Thursday 23 February 2017) from 19:30 to 21:00. It could be very interesting.

What Entente at the top? The club is at war with Utd. Remember, their execs crafted FFP.

Anything like the last discussion they did with Custis then expect it to be one sided.

Expect much of the following.............

City have a long way to go to match Un****'s power off the pitch, history, history, history blah blah blah, history, history, history, red devils, munich, ****onah, history, pisscan, history, busby, blah, blah blah, history, class of ****s, history, 659 million ****s, history, doing things the ****s way, history, never disrespect the FA cup, history, history history.

It'll be a one eyed myopic view of how they're the best and we're still some upstart, ignoring our rich and diverse history because what they really mean is success but are always too afraid to say it as it is. ****s.

Going by the little interview with Simon Stone I've just heard on the breakfast show, I have a feeling this is going to portray one club in a much better light than the other (surprise surprise) but it's got Jim Cassell and apparently others connected to our academy so I'll tune in to give it a chance.

I wonder if they'll mention our unbeaten u18s or Uniteds u23's heading for relegation? Will they mention the u18s being the youngest squad in the competition? Us contributing more England youth players than anyone except Chelsea, while United contribute almost none?

What's the odds that Brahim, Gonzalez etc. Are mentioned as expensive foreign players while Chong and Boonen aren't?
