So, my friend and I will be travelling to Manchester soon to watch city vs wigan, I call out to all of you who live in Manchester, or know something about the place, what should we do when we get there, which pub should we visit pre match, post match?

what would be the most clever way to get to the stadium, we'll be staying at The Midland Hotel, peter street

any advices are welcome, thank your for your time and hoping for an experience that will never be forgotten :)

Taps is near the Midland, an interesting concept
or head towards the sam's chop house, about 400 metres away, good beer and food

try the KRO bar in Piccadilly, though it is Danish
you can get a bus to the ground from outside the KRO bar too

avoid Canal Street

Chinatown is midway between the Midland Hotel and the ground, so I'd go there. There are a few pubs and bars around there too

Deansgate is close to you too. Down Peter St, and then turn right on to Deangate. Worth having a look around Spinningfields and the John Rylands Library. And plenty of bars / cafes down there

hasn't KRO been smashed in by the yobs?
taps in a decent place and i like the idea of pulling
your own pints rather than keep getting up, i'd advise the o.p
to have a go on the big wheel as well you get a good view
of the city and it's surrounding area's.

was in KRO on sunday before going to bolton, it was fine, just avoid the glass in your pint
was in taps last night, i like not having to get up and queue, but its a touch expensive as i'm sure i drink a lot more hic

Mother Macs is very near its a proper City pub unlike most of the plastic overpriced shit holes in or near Piccadilly.

You can walk from Peter Street to Piccadilly and get a Bus to the Stadium. I can't remember what number bus - but you'll see lots of people in City shirts getting on.

Hi mate, are you in Helsinki?

If you are, maybe go for a drink before you leave? I can give you some advice then if you want. Always good to find any other city fans in Finland....

I'm in Pukinmaki, but work in the Forum building in the city centre, so anywhere's good for me - let me know
