City's €140m summer will "stun English football"

The only thing I have a problem with is that when ever a club wants to sell their player for 3% of GDP of some developed country, it is automatically linked to us, Chelsea, PSG and lately Monaco

Not really sure how many ins we need.

If we are basing ourselves on the Barca model then surely the front 3 would be

Tevez(Villa) Kun (Messi) ????? (Pedro)
Silva (Iniesta) Yaya(Busqets) ???? (Xavi)

For me Nasri can cover Silva , but cannot do the Xavi thing.

Buy Navas and he can do Pedros role. Maybe Thiago can be he playmaker?

Whatever not sure we need to break the bank here.

I do have reservations about all these small guys. A more physical presence up front might help.

Not sure size matters, at least not in football anymore.

The key thing in modern football is intelligence and that means having a perceptive ability to see what will happen with the ball, where it will go, and move accordingly. Such players are rare, hence the hefty price tags.

I think you'll find Yaya is our Xavi. Barry = Busquets.

Barry is not close to being good enough to play at the top level.

Did someone say he was?

Barry = Busquets, unless you were just stating he plays a similar role to Busquets rather than actually comparing the 2 players. If so my bad.

Are any of these players any good when it gets cold?? We were all sold on Javi Garcia - bloody hell!!

England will seem like Miami to Fernandinho after playing in Ukraine for 8 years.

Most of the Spaniards in England don't seem to have had much trouble with the climate (Torres, Silva, Mata, Cazorla, Enrique, Chico Flores).

And I don't think Garcia's problem is the weather... :P

So it looks like 2 of our targets are now going elsewhere,Cavani & Isco. Who on earth are we going to spend this €140 million on now?
