Good shout for Kiddo there, he's a really nice bloke but in his coaching days with the rags, Baconface had him has his enforcer. Was surprised to hear it off a mate who's lad was on the books at the rags, but he said Kidd was a real hardliner and no one messed with him including Keane, Ince and co.

When did NDJ do anything on the pitch to put himself in the hard man category? I don't mean putting in hard tackles either (and I don't think he did that as much as some like to make out), otherwise Robbie Savage would be a hardman.

Some people like the (slightly homoerotic) fantasy of a scowling, bald tattooed bloke being 'the daddy' a bit too much imo and let this run away with them. Others like to think that their favorite player is a hardman - which sees people like Negredo being labelled a hardman too.

Couldn't really include anyone from before my time as I would've never seen them, but Trautmann had to be included solely for his entire background. Another keeper suggestion, some of you might laugh, but Nicky Weaver (later years)? Proper big lad that looks like the sort of bloke you see having brawls in your local boozer.
