We dominated the first leg at Maine Rd but couldn't put the chances away when they arrived.

I was watching Man City 'TIME OF OUR LIVES' on Sky Sports the other day and Mike Summerbee was saying that we absolutely battered Fenerbache at Maine Road then we went away in Turkey and Summerbee said it was the most frightening place they ever went to and they just wanted the game to finish, Our players had security gaurds with guns walking out onto the pitch with them, And all the Fenerbache fans were throwing missiles ect at them.

Yes it was probably the worst draw we could have got for a first European tie with all that going on off the pitch.

I was at the Fenerbache home game. We murdered them for football but just couldn't get the lead we deserved.

I still remember the Kippax chant

"Fry's Turkish delight - shit"

Am to young to remember the games against Fenerbache, But love watching all the videos and dvd's from the 60's, 70's ect

From what Mike Summerbee was saying about the game away in Fenerbache it seemed frightening, Id love to see the highlights of the game and see what that atmosphere was like ect...Any memories about away in fenerbache?
