City's New Kits - 2019/20

What does "looks smart" mean, genuine question.

It's a cliché banded about a lot.

Presumably it's used as an adjective in this case, where someone is described as clean, neat and well dressed. i.e. "our kid looks smart in his new City top "

Are you not from Manchester,Pudge?
Oh I know the saying, I just think it's a weird one that doesn't really mean anything.

Especially a yellow and pink kit with a black collar but no sleeve trim. Can't see how it "looks smart", of all the kits it has no rhyme or reason it seems, just a mismatch of colours.

I'm pretty certain we're 30ish years beyond their target audience.

To those who aren't,it most certainly is 'smart'

As usual the promotional photos make it look nicer than the leaked images. Will be interesting to see what it looks like on pitch. Still not sure if it's orangey pink or a Reddy pink. Either it's an interesting choice.

I’ve been thinking of ordering the away kit for a few weeks and popped into Sports Direct today to try it on before ordering it from the City Store. Genuinely can’t believe how poor the quality is of the tacky yellow bit on the shoulder. Felt like it would come off after a couple of washes. Does anyone know if the more expensive version is the same material?

Really surprised that they’d use such crap materials and still charge £65
