CL Draw | QF: Atletico Madrid | SF: Chelsea/Real Madrid

Sporting fans behind where we were sitting causing a bit of trouble after revealing their shirts towards the end were doing it. I've spoken to a few others who said it was the same. Steward outside said there was an issue with Sporting fans trying to get in home sections.
There will be people from Portugal who support Sporting who live locally too.

The point is that it’s a minority who were sporting fans. I’m sure some were in the City end. There’s away fans in the home end at most games you can think of. Just calm down a bit about all this. You’ve been manipulated by social media into thinking it’s all a big deal.

It’s away fans in the home end showing other away fans where they are. Lots of Sporting fans in the home sections doing it last time!
Rubbish. There were too many doing it. They were just having a bit of fun. Atmosphere starts with enjoying yourself but it seems that we can only do certain things that are “approved” by our so called “real” fans. ( the miserable lot!! :) :) )

Just asking for a friend who is having medical treatment on the 25th April. If we get through the quarters will we definitely play the first leg of the semi’s at home on the 26th or is it open to change?

Definitely at home but just as likely Wednesday 27th as Tuesday 26th. Won’t be confirmed until the teams involved are known and the broadcasters have decided what works best for them.
Probably be announced on Thursday of next week after the QF second legs have been completed the previous evening.

yes you can pay contactless on buses.
if you're planning on using the metro as well though you'll need to get the Multi card (2.50 euro) at the machine in a metro station and load it with 10 journeys (12,20 euros), or just the one journey which is charged by number of stations. You can use that on the buses, and to get to the Wanda by metro. Good thing is you only need one card for a group. Just put it through the turnstile for the number of people.
Tbh, everything is walking distance inside the centre, apart from the stadium itself.
Otherwise, this taxi calculator says Plaza Mayor to the stadium is 20-30 euros. Depends where you start from, and the traffic i suppose.
Update to above Metro situation as someone else was asking.
The airport line 8 metro stops at Mar de Cristal Station due to line work. You have to change to line 4 to go north to get line 1 at Pinar de Chamartin, or south to Avenida de America if your digs are that way. North is the best option as line 1 goes straight to centre (Sol)

If you land at T4 there's a quick and cheap train (Cercanias) to a couple of stops around the city. Sol being one of them.

Taxi still definitely best option to/from airport (30 euros fixed price e/w), if possible.
