claiming back bank interest

Just had a call off lifestyle claims who claim to assist people who have been mis sold loans, mortgage fees and credit card interest etc... apparently the banks lost a court case and must pay... but they started asking for my credit card details so they could charge £350 to it as their fee... they phoned from a 01792 number..

anyone put a claim in for any of the above and what do you think i should do?

It's probably about PPI, google it and if it is, it's probably true but watch out who you go with.
I rang up one but I never opted for the PPI so didn't have a case. Shame really 'apparently' people have been getting on average a couple of thousand.
 
They seriously take £350 off you in advance of actually doing anything? Surely they should be taking it out of whatever they claim back for you?
 
I did it myself 5 years ago, It's easy all the letters you need to send are online just copy and paste them add your details and mail them off!

I thought they had stopped the Bank charges one though!

This. Most firms do it on a no win no fee basis. This outfit you are on about will use an agency to get business, (i.e ring everyone in the phonebook) who will in turn charge a fee. There are five million adverts on telly every day about this, you are better off ringing one of them.

You can do all this yourself. I claimed back £600 worth of Bank Charges although I don't think they pay these back any more

Don't do anything. There are plenty of horror stories about this firm and others like them. It's presumably about Payment Protection Insurance, which is supposed to cover loan/credit card payments in the event of sickness/redundancy.

Did you ever take this product if you took out a financial product? If not then there's nothing you can claim and you will struggle to get your money back. If you did then make a claim yourself. There is plenty of help on-line.
 
they take 350 off the credit card you are claiming against and re fund it in full if your claims not successfull. im claiming for ppi and interest on my mortgage and a loan i took out the other year..it all seems above board,and if i get a butty off it, happy days..

and i think they have stopped the bank charges one, i got 200 the other year

I suspect the £350 will take quite some time to find its way back into your possession; and that's if it ever does.

Just do it yourself and save £350.
 
I've got some magic beans here, but they aren't just ordinary magic beans. Give me £500 for them and plant them in your back garden, and hopefully a money tree will grow. If it doesn't grow, give me a shout, and I'll give you the money back. Subject to terms and conditions.

no im not on crack, are u?
its a legitimate claim ive been researching all day, and they stopped doing the bank charge claims,not PPI or interest.
thanks for your kind and informative replies but i think im gonna listen to myself on this occasion. spoke to people who have used them and it all seems legit.
ill let u know how much i get back........................

Eh the banks lost the case in the high court and are no longer contesting it because the know they're on a loser, they are putting money aside to pay back basically what they stole off people.Mines going through now 22 years paying PPI on credit card when i was self employed Dick Turpin at least had the decency to wear a mask.
