Not sure why PZ got a standing ovation yesterday. He knew he was on a yellow and gave Dean a decision to make that he needn't have, that's why he apologized later.

I did not clap him and don't remember ever clapping a player when they have been sent off. just seems wrong to me since it almost always makes a successful result less likely. A bit like clapping an own goal.

Well it took a day, but I knew one tool would make this thread.

I clapped because I think he was hard done by Mike Dean.

Had he been violent in his tackle, swore, raised his hands then I wouldn't of clapped him.

Because if he wasn't that kind of player and didn't give his all every time he's on the pitch he wouldn't be half the player he is.

We always get the odd idiotic comment on here.

I personally applauded zabba as I felt the 2 yellows were harsh . In Zabaleta I see a player that gives 100% every time he wears the shirt. That will do for me. Once again i thought he was quality yesterday. The best right back in the league by a mile.

Should we of boo'd and abused one of our own instead? Zab loves the club and the fans he was generally sorry for a mistake on his behalf

I think because we know what sort of player Zabba is, hes tough, dedicated but not a dirty player, I also clapped and cheared Vinnie when he got sent off. However if a player gets booked or sent off for volent conduct, stamping or even diving, I wouldn't applaud. I kind of hate that they are trying to make football a non conduct sport., bring back the 70s
