On strike again.
Do any of you pay this? I pay this for my wife so she can still build a govt pension whilst staying home to look after our kids.

The govt recently stopped crediting her contributions as our youngest is now twelve.

The weekly rate I pay for her is £14.10 a week. That equates to £733.20 a year!

Self-employed people only have to pay only £2.80 per week, (£145.60 per annum) if they have a small profit business, making less than £5,965.

How easy is it to set oneself up as self-employed and what level of (in)activity does it need?

Any advice would be appreciated.
