Clattenberg..(Crappenberg {merged})

Re: Clattenberg..

I dont know how anybody can have the nerve to talk about a Referee after the decisions we have been given in our last two Games.

The Ref let Nigel off for a bad challenge on Fabregas and then did the same moments later for Song. Every other booking correct. Theirs and ours. The sending off could not be argued and the Penalty was nailed on ( what was Vincent doing when fabregas was going nowhere by the way ?).

All any Football Fan wants from a Referee is to get the majority of the Major decisions right. Nobody should complain about the Referee today.

Clattenberg was a disgrace today. The **** booked blue after blue, but failed to book fabregas for a second time. Song ran straight into vinnie and vinnie gets booked! Anyone who says he had a good game is either in the 3rd tier or on a dodgy stream. Yes, the pen was a pen, but a straight red for his FIRST FUCKING TACKLE. Clattenberg i hope you die on the way home.

Clattenburg ruined the game. It was never a sending off. Yes it was a foul, yes Chamakh was the last man BUT was it a clear goalscoring opportunity ? Absolutely not. He knocked the ball way too far leaving Hart to pick the ball up, he woud never have got the ball, therefore, under those circumstances a yellow card was the right decision.

If the challenge had been down the right wing and Chamakh had been the last man would it have been a sending off ? No.

The ref has to judge whether Boyata prevented a goalscoring opportunity and anyone with half a brain knows that to get sent off for that with 4 minutes gone was an absolute travesty.

Don't disagree with the penalty - even if it was soft - but the damage had already been done.

Well CHamakh wouldn't have knocked it that far if Boyata hadn't slid in. Chamakh bought the sending off but I see your point. I would have been calling for a red had it been Tevez through on goal tho.

Should have booked Song for his first cynical challenge, but other than that he didnt get a lot wrong I hate to admit.
Refs will never be a fans favourite but to be honest he got most things correct.

Sorry completely disagree all the decisions last week were very very debateable. The Blackpool guy went for the ball when he was offside, Their guy fell over for Tevez second and the first was shown to be onside with Tevez in line imo at the very least it was marginal and you could understand how they might have made the decisions they did.

You could not say the same about the decisions today. Yes Chamakh was the last man but it wasn't a goals scoring opportunity in a million years therefore not a sending off. Bookings for our players and then not for theirs. If they were honest decisions then Clattenburg is simply incompetent.

Re: Clattenberg..

Sending off was right but he was one sided.

How anyone can try and justify his performance today must have been watching a different game.

It seems that every referee has their own set of rules to play by, so next time we approach a game, we won't bother preparing for their players and likely tactics, we'll prepare for whatever referee we have.

How can the posts be ridiculous? Check the official city v arsenal thread i posted 3-1 to arsenal yesterday! I had a horrible feeling they would be the undoing of us today, don't know why i just did. It would've been better if we'd had a fair crack at the whip though.
