Just caught his inept performance in yesterdays match between the Baggies and Villa and cant believe how fucking inept the guy is.

Failed to give 3 nailed on penalties for hand ball imo and the biggest problem for me is that it appears that refs that miss a decision, then go on in games to try and even things up by refusing to give further decisions in the game.

Refs are there to impose the rules of the game, not make them up as and when they go along.

Ok how about this for a theory.

1. A player fails to get a clear penalty and so the next time he's in the area he dives and gets a penalty. Is he a cheat? Or is he "Evening things up"?

2. A referee fails to spot a clear penalty but sees it at half time and realises his error. There is another clear penalty for the other side and he fails to give that too, knowing that he "Evened it up".

The second scenario happens on a regular basis and yet it's only the player in scenario one who is always labelled the cheat.

In "Evening things up", a referee is cheating, pure and simple. If he doesn't take EVERY decision as a solitary incident and takes other incidents into consideration he is knowingly not giving the right decision and is therefore cheating. Why don't we see this highlighted more?

That's definitely what happened yesterday but have to say it's one thing I'm happy about. If they rectify an error then fair enough.

that's exactly what jeff winter did in a city-fulham game a few years ago. he denied city a clear penalty in the first half and then did likewise to fulham in the second half.
