What was the club thinking giving him a four year deal ??

He is not good enough anymore for the #2 spot.

Where will he go? No serious scout could have watched him over the past 2 seasons and reasonably come to the conclusion that 'he will be able to do a job'

He will be our back up again next season he loves Manchester and his family are settled. He was out outstanding in the league cup also.

    Take a wild guess.......
It was, but someone made the very valid point on here, when I was advocating not selecting him for the Carabao cup final, that Pep’s goalkeepers have to have a very specific skill set - specifically excellent distributional skills and comfort in possession - and there simply aren’t many of those about, let alone ones prepared to never get a game. Flawed as a keeper (in the more traditional sense) though he unquestionably is, I don’t expect to see him leave any time soon

But in the league he has been nothing other than under par since he got here. Fingers crossed Ederson always stays fit

Bravo thanks for everything, but your watch has ended.

    Bring on the Gunn.

And what makes you so certain that Gunn will be better? Not looking for any "he couldn't be any worse" comments, just genuinely interested to know what has Gunn done in your mind to become 2nd dickie to Eddie

Ive watched Gunn a few times for Norwich and he looks a much better keeper. He commands his box,he's very vocal and organises his defence,he's a brilliant shot stopper with great positioning and he aint to shabby with distribution.Add that too his 6'5 frame and you have a very capable no.2.

Thanks for your response - sounds like a viable option then
