Didn’t Sunderland lend us someone in the end? Someone injured away at Arsenal or similar. So vague to me now. Given was playing around that time.
We signed Fulop on emergency loan. Given got an injury against Arsenal and by massive coincidence unused understudy Stuart Taylor happened to be injured at the time too.

I wonder whether the training pitches are too hard currently which has contributed to the injuries to De Bruyne and Bravo?
Very dry summer and hard pitches, also huge mistake in selling Hart and Gunn 1 should have enough been kept.
Now we're only an Ederson injury away from a crisis.
This is so ridiculous, the pitches will be in perfect condition, despite the summer weather, we're not hyde united, and in any case rainfall in Manchester has returned to normal in the last few weeks, so at worst they are probably topping up with watering.

If we go for a free agent I see it being either Ruben Miño (former La mMasia graduate and Barcelona back-up keeper under Pep) or Valdés comes out of retirement. Most others (Taylor in particular) are probably no better for Pep than Grimshaw.

Ruben Miño:

Give up with the drama-queen outrage lol. Bravo is a highly paid pro at the top of his position. He isn't our keeper out of charity. If he is shit (he is), anyone has a right to call him on it when the spotlight falls. If that offends you, turn of the internet and go and sign up to the Mary Whitehouse foundation, otherwise please grow up a few decades and behave like an adult.

My own opinion on this is more positive. Bravo is crap. This gives Pep an excuse to bump up a youth/3rd keeper to the front line. It may be a blessing and we find that our backup is actually a hidden gem.

I wouldn't play Bravo in the reserves. The only reason pep keeps him is that he can't throw two keepers under the bus.
Other than your subjective opinion, which it is, your contributing nothing than to throw shit at an injured player and you tell me to grow up Give him shit by all means when he has a howler next, but to jump in when he has had a serious injury, telss me there is only one who needs to grow up.

In reality, there is only going to be carabao cup between now and transfer window opening. Maybe 1 fa cup game if we don't sign someone in first day or two.

Now that means that we are trusting grimshaw with games most likely against lower opposition or "second string".

That's ok for me, see how he does. Risks of course an Eddie injury but is grimshaw more of a risk than a free agent?

Grimshaw will know the pep way of playing at least
