I hope we actually play him if he's being recalled.

He's really highly rated, and a full season on loan as #1 keeper would have been huge for his development and possibly opened the door to him replacing Bravo at the end of his contract.

If he plays a couple of EFL cup games and an FA Cup 3rd round it's a great opportunity, if he just sits on the bench for a few months it's a massive waste of a season at his age.

I assume he will play, because if Ederson does go down at some point and Muric has to play in the league or CL, I'd much rather he had some cup appearances under his belt at least.

Really big opportunity for him. I would have to imagine he gets some of the cup games, at least. If he performs well he could potentially cement himself as the #2 next year (or add a few zeros to his transfer value).

Because that's how big clubs send players on loan, the clause of being able to recall a player at any time for any reason is almost always there by default.

So why is he still with the club. He's not playing any football and assuming Muric is now back up to Ederson over the next few months then realistically he is 4th choice keeper.
