Probably not but we need a lot more from a keeper than just making saves, unless they can read the game, be calm under pressure and pass the ball it weakens our whole team.
I have no idea whether Grimshaw or Muric can or can't but it isn't the same as Burnley losing a keeper.

You're right. Being a GK at City is not like at any other Prem team (except Liverpool). Any City keeper has to be constantly switched on with our style - e.g. when our CBs split to create the gap through which our GK will play the ball - sometimes it's a small gap - with no hesitation.

Neither are back up in a Pep team. I dont think bravo is either for what it's worth.

It's a unique position, as many are, in this city side.

I'm not suggesting we need perfection in a role like this but it needs to be something close.

Unfortunate about his injury from the point of view of no one wants to see a player hurt, but hardly a loss. Makes the league cup games less stressful to watch at least!

Pope was 25 with loads of games throughout the leagues. We also require a very specific skill set from our keepers. Hence why Bravo was so important.

I think at one point in his first year he had maybe the 3rd worst shot to save ratio int he league. So depends if you want to get into semantics about what classes as an "error".
I'd say the majority of his attempted saves were shit and cost us a lot of points.

Ederson' shot to save ratio is also relatively poor. Nothing to do with his keeping.

Bravo was often blamed for goals he had next to no chance with. I remember many fans bringing up his saves to shots ratio after Spurs at home in the 2-2. It was lunacy.

Yet again Tommcfc speaking the truth and yet again the City happy clappers refusing to have any of it. I often wondered in Bravo's first season, why the fuck he bothered wearing goalie gloves, so seldom did he actually save a ball. The clappers can quote stats all they like. Anyone with eyes could see that Bravo at one point couldn't save shit.
