Claudio Gomes

Congratulations to Barnsley this evening. They finally managed to win, at long last, and maybe they should have parted company with Schopp earlier. Gomes seems to be playing well and their fans are starting to recognise that he is a good player. Might have picked up a knock tonight so here’s hoping he‘s okay and able to cement his position.
Have they got him playing in the deep midfield role?

Not in the Barnsley team and not even on the bench for their visit to Fulham. No mention of him being injured either so maybe Asbaghi doesn’t want to use him.

This is the trouble with our loans, the scum must have had it written in the contract that they must play if a team takes their players on loan or certainly more so during pisscans era.

So many of ours go on loan and don't get into some poor teams and I'm not having it that these lads aren't good enough for the loaning team, in the end a poor loan deal just stagnates a young player and he would have learned more from our training pitch with the first team.

He was back in the team yesterday and played the full ninety at Peterborough United. It may well be that Asbaghi just wanted to see the contracted players in his first couple of games and now realises that he’ll also have to utilise the loanees, too. They’re eight points from the safety spots now, so it’s going to be a long, hard winter.

Very disappointed with Kayky so far...has shown very little for someone supposedly so talented. Maybe he just needs time to settle.

Heavens that was a hard watch. Gomes barely touched the ball for long periods, and I don’t think Barnsley have a hope of surviving.
