At 18 can he be in our Champions League squad without being on the main list or does he have to be with us a certain time?
No, same reason Muric can't be in our CL squad until next season when he's been here 2 consecutive years.

I don't get this fascination with tapping up. Is it not what all clubs do with the vast majority of transfers?
I'd guess, in this instance, Gomes hadn't signed a professional contract so was free to talk with other clubs.

Not doubting you Dax but I’d love to know how you get enough hours in the day to have a dossier on every player in every league including youth players.
