An ambitious target is surely needed to make enough of a difference.

In terms of hitting that target I say, 'where there's a will there's a way!' The recent green protests by young people and Extinction Rebellion I hope are the start of a big push to get this issue into mainstream politics, where it needs to be.

It’s all hot air by double dealing politicians who won’t do anything effective.
So in the meantime people turn the thermostat down, stop using cotton buds and wet wipes, use paper straws and save meat for birthdays.
Pissing in the wind of course, but we’ll all feel better.

Actually what’s needed is a big change in action now, whatever the “mindset” or inconvenience or cost, including the cost of jobs disappearing or increased financial cost to us all of utilities or driving combustion engines off the road.

And govt that implemented what was really needed would be out at the next election.

Which is why little effective action will be implemented.
