Said it a million times. Not only does it not improve the atmosphere. It downright impedes it. The only atmosphere, the best atmosphere, is thousands of City fans in full cry.
Same at half-time. You can't hear yourself think. What I want to do at half-time is get the take of the other guys in my row on the game so far, and see if I agree with them. You literally are not allowed to do that by the decibel level.
