Morning folks,

Quick question if anyone can help? I’ve just been diagnosed with coeliac disease in the last couple of weeks and upon changing my diet and hardly been able to leave my house due to feeling incredibly sick and suffering from an obscene amount of stomach pain and farting? Anyone suffering from coeliac and any advice or any meds or anything that could help?

I've had coeliac disease for over 20 years, happy to advise in any way I can. Make sure that you see a dietician, your GP should be able to put you in touch with one.

How were you diagnosed?

My mate had it diagnosed, two years later it was found to be a hernia causing the pain. It is very rare, but loads of people claim to have it.

My Dad had it. It responds very well to a gluten free diet but you do have to be fairly rigorous about it and identify potential sources of gluten some of which are not at all obvious.
I don't think there is much evidence that it is associated with other food intolerances.
I would rigorously exclude gluten before trying to identify other problems.

Yeah gone straight on to a gluten free diet but really struggling stomach wise and nausea?
