Just want to post a recognition to the effort by St Johns last night in Colin Bell Level 3, block 327.

During the first half a fellow blue a few rows behind me took ill and it is only down to the incredible work by these guys last night that he pulled thorugh and was taken away in a neck brace with a breathing tube inserted too. From what I could see it appeared he had suffered a heart attack and his heart was restarted by the medics with compressions.

This was an incredible act and simply saved the life of a fellow blue. I want to wish that chap a swift recovery and say a big thanks to the St Johns.

Cheers

Well said, fella. People sometimes take the piss out of St John Ambulance volunteers as being a bit eccentric (I remember one getting absolutely pelted and almost sparked out with coins by hundreds of blues in the away end at Oldham one year, when he had the bright idea of doing one of those blanket collections at half time). But to me they are unsung heroes

Some sort of recognition of the individuals involved may be in order do you think? Any way of finding out who they are?

Fantastic shout from the OP.

Too many take the piss out of guys and gals like this, yet when we really are in need, they are there.

A big well done to the one's that saved this guy last night, we are all proud of you and to the blue, get well soon.

No idea mate. It all took place a few rows behind me but I would assume there would be some record of events within the club ?

This happened a few rows behind me last night. At half time someone asked a steward how the bloke was.All she was able to say was that he was on his way to hospital-he was breathing and his heart was beating so fingers crossed hes okay.
