Wasn’t questioning your maths. If their period of domination over us (by your calculation) includes 2012, then it should start in 1983, thereby (by my calculation) being there or thereabouts 30 years.

United were just as shit as City were in the 80s league wise although they managed to win The FA Cup twice.
Liverpool were the dominant team in the 80s.
United started to dominate the newly formed Premier League in 1993 and continued to do so until 2013.

Think if you count both the 92-93 season and 2012-13 season it's 21, though I do find finger counting difficult
