I've long felt that the British are seriously missing out by refusing to go to Germany on holiday. It's such a fantastic place and the people there actually like us.

Meant to savour rather than get blottoed.

Not as deceiving as imagining the alcohol in gluewein has been burnt off.

totally agree. spend most of my holidays in there or austria. recently travelled from innsbruck to munich on train, some of the scenery and places en route were amazing. off berlin, leipzig and dresden in just over a week. the beer is so much better than here and hotels, public transport make it a great place to visit.

Germany is a great country , and Cologne is a top city . I would give Bonn a miss , found it small and boring .
