Colonoscopy have you had one.

I've not had one but one of my former co-workers had one. He said the best advice he could give was, the doctors give you a small battle of liquid to drink the day before. ONLY DRINK AT HOME and stay at home!

He decided to drink it at work around 1 p.m. He was using the toilet, according to him, approximately every ten minutes for hours. At around 7:30 p.m. he felt like he could finally make the journey home without shitting his trousers.

Apparently, the liquid is to clean your system out before the procedure and it works extremely well.
 
My experience was via my local Spanish Hospital.
Restricted diet for 5 days before, 1 day before I did chemical cleansing orally with 3 litres of water taken over 5 hours twice.
For the op a drip with a relaxant needed to relax the areas they observe but still awake.
No pain but they did what was needed at the same time.
Recovery room for about 20 mins then supervisor explained what they had.found and what they did and gave me a written copy with photos attached.
 
Go for Entonox (nitrous oxide) if it's available. It's a blast. You basically get off your tits for ten minutes and before you know it its all done.
Drive yourself home, too.
 
I have them pretty regularly due to Crohns disease. As mentioned it is the prep which is the worse bit. The camera down throat is worse imo.

Too be honest the drink is ok. I bought orange and pineapple squash to mix with it. It was fine. I’ve not drunk that flavour squash ever again though!
