This is wrong sorry. There is not limit on how many times you can wear your away kit.
The ruling is around how many times you HAVE to wear it before you can sell it as a replica kit. If you wear a kit 8 times during a season then it becomes a replica kit, otherwise you have to release it as a limited edition. Think back to the third kits that are released on this basis.
The exception is the Euro Away Kit. No such rule applies so as long as we wear it in our away games then we can sell it in th shop.
i didnt know that.wondered why they were calling some strips limited edition.

-- Fri May 24, 2013 4:18 pm --

i dont understand why teams are allowed to play in the same colour shorts these daysDer Bomber said:HorshamBlue said:What a stupid rule. May explain why City played in the dull bluey-grey 3rd kit last season (11/12) away to Villa rather than the contrasting red/black away colours.kippaxchris said:You can only where an away kit a maximum of 8 times a season unless it is necessary to wear it again but that is in the hands of the officials but they might see things differently from the manager and players so its just simpler to have a 3rd kit in case that happens
Probably looked sufficiently different on the pitch, but on the telly in the pub the two strips were virtually indistinguishable!
I remember thinking that during match - that was terrible. The picture above in no way does justice to how hard it was to tell the sides apart on the broadcast.
