Now if that was United and Gill who were at fault I am sure shit would be thrown at them and rightly so. I can't defend this Cook, wouldn't even try to. Ned was City and his Mum was looking out for him and was suffering from Cancer, not a laughing matter!
Bloody ell, bring back the death penalty... get over it ...Ned wasn't innocent either!

Lost my Grandad to it only last year. I'm entitled to feel angry against a pathetic email sent by Cook to a sufferer. Now you get a grip.

I wouldn't be disappointed to see him come back, but haven't we already appointed a CEO, the guy from Derby County starts sometime in August, and may be the reason we haven't bought anyone yet!!

Great shout.

The fella you're on about comes with pedigree too. I wonder what ever happened with that Txiki bloke from Barca?
What pedigree ? Derby County haven't exactly made everyone sit up with their success.

Research Tom Glick. I made my comment because I remember a long radio show on talksport where they spoke about him. Loads of experience and 23 years experience. Expert and highly respected in USA. Words of City not me. I just remember the show where they said we were headhunting the best around. A marketing model to mirror what the European giants do.

It's office banter, if you don't think stuff like that flies about every office in the world your deluded.

Edit Tom Glick is coming in as COO with a remit to drive up matchday revenue, he will report into the new CEO when appointed

My mate met him in Knutsford on a night out when we were 8 points behind the rags. He was adamant they would win it this season and we were not as good as them yet. Fuck off, Gary.

Have we appointed an Italian Executive as well? We are looking to make FFPR work with these two appointments, especially Tom Glick.

You're

If joking about someone with cancer is funny then I don't want that sense of humour. What next? Laughing about rape?

Sad.

Please, get off your high horse. It was a stupid comment but hardly a death penalty offense like you're making it out to be.

It's simply that we need to maximise reach worldwide and get ourselves out there. Many think we will fail FFP. But the top brass KNOW we won't. Appointing industry elite will only help us in the long run.

I question this who rate Cook. Cancer jibes aside. Bill Clinton was classed as a good president because the economy was healthy. He gets a good rep for the economy whereas Obama gets slaughtered for it. Anybody and everybody can see Obama is doing his best but he has a bad hand. Cook spent when times were good and FFP wasn't the obstacle it is now. Even if Cook was here now it doesn't mean we would sign Hazard, Silva etc. He would have same restrictions and same targets to hit as the CEO now does. Cook couldn't of sealed the Hazard deal because we wouldn't pay the agent fees. Cook doesn't walk on water and nor would he be able to not comply with new rules set by club.

FUCKING HELL.

What is wrong with you?

Yes, Marwood is a cock but Garry Cook was/is an absolute embarrassment to Manchester City. Give him a mic and he made us a laughing stock. He was absolutely clueless when it came to football hence why he employed Marwood to tell him how it worked. Now the clown Marwood seems to pull the strings which is fucking frightening if you ask me.

So, no, don't come back Garry Cook.

When did I say he should be shot or electrocuted then?

Cancer is a death sentence and not a laughing matter. I understand it was a stupid comment but that doesn't absolve him from blame or give him a pass. The snide **** even tried to blag his way out of it with the hacking story. Pathetic **** couldn't even man up. If he admitted the email and then apologised unreservedly whilst donating his salary paid to him whilst on suspension to McMillan Cancer then I give him a pass. Lying and denying without ever issuing a proper public apology written in person to Neds Mum. Nah the guys a **** and people clammering for him should give their head a wobble.

Cook represents City, he ridiculed a players Mum which put the club in A bad PR predicament and also an awkward position with board and playing staff. He had to go and no questions. Don't know why people can't see this.
